The comment was made in Austin, Texas, during the Endless Frontiers Retreat

A senior White House advisor recently stated that US technology has the potential to “manipulate time and space.”
Science advisor Michael Kratsios made this bold claim during a speech that has gained widespread attention. The address, delivered earlier this month at the Endless Frontiers Retreat in Austin, Texas, has sparked much conversation and curiosity.

Kratsios said, “We’ve burdened our builders and innovators. What started as a well-meaning regulatory system in the 1970s has increasingly restricted America’s ability to become a net-energy exporter and made it more difficult to build.”
“We appear to have lost our focus and vision, settling for less and allowing systems, structures, and bureaucracies to guide us aimlessly.
But we are capable of achieving far more.

In the future, we will be able to reshape time and space using our technologies. As a result, distance is erased, growth is fostered, and productivity is enhanced.”
There was a metaphorical intention behind the statement, rather than a literal one, so as to suggest time travel. On the other hand, it has sparked a lot of speculation online, with some people taking it more literally than others.
After the White House released the transcript, one person commented, ” Do we have the technology to manipulate time and space?”
Another reaction read: “WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?!”

A third person commented: “@POTUS science and technology advisor @mkratsios47 Michael Kratsios (former undersecretary of DoD & US CTO) makes an incredible claim here without any explanation, saying that U.S. ‘technologies permit us to manipulate time and SPACE.’ What does he mean by this?”
A fourth person added: “Kratsios casually mentions that we purposely slowed down our technological progress in the 70s, and now we have technology to manipulate space and time. Wow.”

Some questioned whether Kratsios ever anticipated his remarks to provoke such a strong online reaction.
One person speculated: “Let that sink in.The NASA space agency recently announced that it had detected algae-like compounds in the atmosphere of K2-18 b, which is a water-rich exoplanet over 120 light-years away from Earth. In fact, these are the same compounds that algae on Earth produce to maintain their life on this planet.

Kratsios casually says we intentionally stagnated our technology in the 70s and we now have tech to manipulate space and time.

“And then there’s the mystery of MH370, a commercial flight with 239 people that vanished without a trace. No wreckage, no answers. What if it didn’t crash? What if they were relocated?
“If you think that sounds crazy, think about this: Every ancient culture has stories of ascension, disappearance, or divine evacuation. The Bible refers to it as The Rapture.
“Science might have a different name: dimensional migration or off-world extraction.
There is a possibility that some of us have already passed away. Perhaps this is just a warm-up.
How do you feel about this? What are your thoughts?
