Jillian Shriner was shot by police in an incident that took place on Tuesday
Here’s what we know so far after Weezer bassist Scott Shriner’s wife Jillian was shot by police and booked on suspicion of attempted murder.
On Tuesday (April 8), cops descended on the Los Angeles neighborhood of Eagle Rock after reports of a hit-and-run on the 134 Freeway.
Three suspects are said to have fled the freeway crash scene and into the residential area at around 3.25pm PT, according to the Los Angeles Police Department, which prompted a huge manhunt from California Highway Patrol.
While searching for the trio, police discovered a woman, identified as Weezer bassist’s wife Jillian Shriner, who was allegedly armed with a handgun outside her home.
While the 51-year-old may not have been directly involved with the hit-and-run, she reportedly refused to drop the weapon when cops asked her ‘numerous times’.

She allegedly went on to point the handgun at officers, according to reports.
Officers then opened fire and struck the musician’s wife, which TMZ reports hit her in the shoulder, which led to the New Jersey-born author going back inside her house after being shot before returning and surrendering with another woman.
This woman was later identified as the family’s babysitter, while a later search of the property revealed a 9-millimetre handgun was found.
Jillian has since been booked for attempted murder in connection with the incident with police.
The LAPD has confirmed no officers or other civilians were injured during the shootout and that Jillian was not involved in the hit-and-run report.
KLTA are reporting Jillian and the babysitter have since been released from police custody following the incident.

Jillian tied the knot with musician Scott Shriner in 2005, with the bassist joining the rock band Weezer in 2001 after replacing Mikey Welsh.
The couple have since adopted two children.
Jillian has previously spoken about her fertility struggles in the past.
Speaking on the Motherhood Later blog back in 2015, she said: “On paper, I might not be considered the best candidate for motherhood.
“My husband Scott and I had a long and circuitous road to parenting, including the whole painful infertility thing. We eventually found the right path for us and adopted our son [Tariku] from Ethiopia.”
Maria Kovalchuk, a 20-year-old Ukrainian model who had been missing for over a week, has been found in Dubai in critical condition. Her family fears she may have been sexually assaulted, according to reports from Apostrophe, citing media and social media sources.
Kovalchuk was discovered in a hospital with severe injuries, including fractures to her arms, legs, and spine. She was found without identification or a phone and has reportedly undergone at least three complex surgeries. Currently, she is unable to speak.

Reports suggest that on March 9, she was last seen at a party in the company of two men. They have claimed to be modeling industry representatives.
The following day, she informed her mother that she planned to spend the night with them. However, after that, all communication ceased. She was scheduled to travel to Thailand on March 11, but she never boarded the flight. Her family, alarmed by the circumstances, suspects she may have been sexually exploited.

According to the Telegram channel Mash, Kovalchuk was allegedly involved in explicit adult work in Dubai, catering to extreme fetishes.
While details remain unclear, some reports suggest she may have attempted to escape from clients who were assaulting her at a high-end party. It is believed she may have been involved in so-called “porta potty” gatherings—elite parties where women are reportedly paid up to $30,000 to attend, often facing extreme forms of exploitation.
