Arnold Schwarzenegger’s thoughts on whether or not there is an afterlife have split many.
In a frank talk with his longtime friend and Twins co-actor Danny DeVito, the 77-year-old action hero talked about his views on religion, the afterlife, and what he actually feels happens after we die.

The interview, which was published in Interview Magazine, gives a startlingly honest picture from the man who once claimed, “I’ll be back.”
The two, who originally won over audiences in their 1988 comedy as genetically engineered twin brothers, got together for a heart-to-heart before Schwarzenegger’s three-part Netflix docuseries.
The show, which came out on June 7, 2023, tells the story of how he went from being an Austrian bodybuilder to a global action celebrity and then the governor of California.
DeVito, who is famous for his roles in Matilda and It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, addressed Schwarzenegger a serious issue during the discussion: “What’s in the future for us?”
Schwarzenegger didn’t hold back.
It makes me think of what Howard Stern asked me, he said. “Governor, what will happen to us when we die?” I said, “Nothing.” You’re six feet below. “Anyone who tells you something else is a f***ing liar.”
I said, “We don’t know what happens to the soul or any of this spiritual stuff that I’m not an expert in, but I know that we will never see each other again like this.”

Schwarzenegger has spent decades pushing his limits. He is known for his iconic physique and a record-setting seven Mr. Olympia crowns. However, he adds that de@th is one thing that makes him very uncomfortable.
People say, “I’ll see them again in heaven,” and that sounds so nice, but the truth is that we won’t see each other again when we die. That’s the sad part. He said, “I know people are okay with de@th, but I’m not.”
Schwarzenegger talked on how he has lost 15 friends from the bodybuilding world in the last 20 years and how that has changed his idea of what heaven means to him.

He remarked, “Heaven is where I put someone I love very much, who is kind, generous, and made a difference in my life and the lives of others.”
I keep them in a place in my head, like the front row of all my buddies. And you always feel wonderful when you think about them.

Of course, some didn’t agree with Arnie. One guy said on X, “He’s completely wrong.” God sent His only Son Jesus to die a terrible de@th on a cross to save us. Heaven and hell are real.
Some people, on the other hand, agreed with what the action star said.
What do you think?
