After a strong earthquake hit in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Russia, President Donald Trump made a public remark.
The tremor set up tsunami warnings across the Pacific region, including Hawaii, the West Coast of the United States, and sections of Japan.
One of the biggest earthquakes in recent years, with a magnitude of 8.7, hit about 80 miles southeast of Petropavlovsk. Global meteorological and emergency organizations sent out alerts right away.

The U.S. National Weather Service sent out a Tsunami Warning for Hawaii and Tsunami Watch advisories for the Pacific coastlines of Alaska and California.
Trump, who just got back from a five-day trip to Scotland, went on Truth Social to talk about what was going on and tell people in affected areas to follow government advice.
Trump said that a Tsunami Warning is in effect for those living in Hawaii because of a huge earthquake that happened in the Pacific Ocean. There is a Tsunami Watch in place for Alaska and the Pacific Coast of the US. Japan is also in the way. For the most up-to-date information, please go to tsunami.gov. Be strong and stay safe!

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center of the National Weather Service sent out a warning to Hawaii residents that they were in risk. Stay away from the ocean. Now is the time to move to higher ground or further inland. Stay away from the seaside until local officials say it’s safe to go back.

Parts of Alaska, like the Samalga Pass in the Aleutian Islands, and the California coast are also under tsunami warnings and advisories. The National Weather Service office in Los Angeles stated that the watch includes the counties of San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and Los Angeles.
Trump also talked about the awful massacre that happened in New York City on Monday when he got back to the U.S. He called it “terrible.”

He told reporters that it was very horrible and sad to behold. We just have to stop him because he’s crazy. You never want to see something like that happen when these people come in. We have made our points very, very clear. Bad stuff.
Officials are still keeping an eye on seismic and ocean activity across the Pacific, and they are telling people to be informed and follow emergency instructions closely.
