Myleene Klass said that she found out that her then-husband was cheating on her with a famous person who is known for supporting “family values.”
The 47-year-old singer and host first met Graham Quinn in 2001 when he was a security guard for her pop group Hear’Say.
The ex-couple spent more than ten years together and was married in 2011, but Klass has now said that their relationship was shattered by infidelity long before they officially tied the knot.
Paul Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast featured the 47-year-old TV host and singer, who stated that she once caught Quinn cheating on her with another famous person at her own birthday party.
She remembered, “I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony.” They weren’t having s**, but they were taking off each other’s clothes.
Klass reported that both Quinn and the nameless woman said right away, “It’s not what you think.” She replied, “It is what I think.” She said that the event was a significant red flag, yet she still went through with the wedding.
I told everyone to leave the party, even his mom and dad. His dad said, “He doesn’t get it from me,” when they got back to Ireland. She said, “I remember thinking that was a strange thing to say.”
Klass didn’t say who the woman was, but she did say that the other person has built her career around a good image.
She said they have been able to keep developing a family brand on it. My life absolutely fell apart in front of a lot of people.
Even though she had reservations, the TV host married Quinn in a small ceremony in October 2011. She stated she grieved the night before and knew something was amiss.
I was taking a bath… She told Loose Women that she was just crying because something didn’t feel right, according to the Daily Mail. A close friend even volunteered to help her get away before the ceremony.
Klass said that Quinn wouldn’t sign a prenup, wouldn’t let her best friend go to the wedding, and said that his cheating was because of alcohol. She said she already thought he was cheating before the wedding, and she knew three days into the marriage that it wouldn’t last.
Six months later, the couple formally broke up, and they got a divorce in 2013. Klass said that the impact was quite devastating, both personally and financially. I didn’t sign a prenup when I married a drug dealer who had been found guilty. What was on my mind? She told the Mirror. Except for me, everyone could hear the alert.
The ex-Hear’Say singer also said that the encounter caused scars that will linger. During her conversation with Loose Women, she remembered that one of the women involved even asked her for a picture.
I told them no. I don’t agree with what you stand for… You’re playing with people’s feelings and lives. She said they have lasting effects.
Klass subsequently confessed that she had trouble with drinking throughout the split. On the White Wine Question Time podcast, she said that she sometimes drank before 11 AM and couldn’t go more than a few hours without it.
“I couldn’t breathe,” she said. “I thought, ‘I’m going to lose everything.'”
The couple has two kids, Ava, who is 17, and Hero, who is 13. Myleene added that for the last 12 years, she has been the only one raising them.
Quinn, on the other hand, has refuted the claims and said that Klass is lying about him in the media and keeping him from seeing his kids.
Myleene says she’s made peace with her past and is now in a stable and happy relationship with PR executive Simon Motson. However, she is still careful for the sake of her kids.
She said that her kids have asked enough questions. I’ve never had to set up my stall. It has to be as and when.
