After witnessing the “scariest film ever made,” some report they “can’t sleep.”

The horrific film, which accurately shows the terrible effects of a nuclear strike, has many viewers quite upset.

Someone wrote, “It scared me to de@th.”

Another person says, “I saw it for the first time recently, and it has haunted me ever since.”

Someone else says, “That scared the hell out of me.”

A fourth person says, “One of the scariest British movies ever made.”

Mick Jackson directed the Bafta-winning movie, which was written by Barry Hines, who also wrote “Kes.” It is a dramatic story of nuclear war and how it affected Britain, especially the city of Sheffield in northern England.

It shows people who are sick from radiation, starving, and being violent in a world where there is a lot of chaos.

The story takes place from the time before the attack to 13 years later, showing how infrastructure was destroyed beyond repair and how people became vicious.

The disturbing images and topics of the 1984 play had a big effect on both critics and spectators.

Andrea Cattermole, a viewer from Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, told the BBC that she enjoyed how realistic the movie was, but it made her “really anxious.”

She remarked, “It made me think that if it did happen, I’d rather be one of the first to die and not have to live through it, with all the long-term effects it has on everyone.”

Some people praised Threads for making people think and become more informed, while others said it didn’t give people facing comparable risks any useful information.

People who were upset by it are said to have called the Samaritans organisation when it came out.

Its most recent airing on BBC Four, followed by its availability on BBC iPlayer, got similar strong reactions.

The apocalyptic war drama starred Karen Meagher and Reece Dinsdale. It was nominated for BAFTA awards in 1985 and won Best Single Drama, Best Design, Best Film Cameraman, and Best Film Editor.

Threads is still thought of as one of the most powerful warnings against the dangers of nuclear war on TV.
