Police reports state that Anne was discovered in the shower “unconscious and unresponsive.” She was declared de@d on the spot. TMZ stated the husband of her, Stuart Claxton, last saw her alive around 11:30 am and found her body, comatose and cold about 7:50 AM. He immediately called 911 and was advised to perform CPR. However, a source at the New York City Fire Department said to Page Six that the caller believed she had suffered “cardiac arrest” and was likely “DOA [de@d upon arrival]. “
The NYPD confirmed that EMS declared her de@d at the scene. The reason for her de@th being determined and an autopsy performed done by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is required.
Anne Burrell was born in Cazenovia, New York, in 1969. She attended Canisius College to study English and Communications. She was awarded a degree from the Culinary Institute of America in 1996. She began her culinary career by studying in Italy and then working at Felidia alongside Lidia Bastianich as well as in the Savoy at Soho.
Anne began her teaching career in the Institute of Culinary Education in the early 2000s. Then she began her TV debut in Iron Chef America. The Emmy-nominated show was launched Secrets of a Restaurant Chef in the year 2008. The show was on through nine seasons. Her name was later a well-known actor on TV shows like The Best Thing I Ever Ate, Food Network Star, Chef Wanted, and Chopped.
