A U.S. Army man from Hawaii has been sentenced to 23 years in prison after admitting to the vi0lent m**der and d****mberment of his 19-year-old pregnant wife, Mischa Johnson. This h0rrible crime has shocked the whole country.

The U.S. Army said in a statement that Pfc. Dewayne Johnson II, 29, pled guilty to voluntary manslaughter, obstruction of justice, and lying at a court-martial.

The penalty given on June 3 includes the longest prison time authorized, as well as a dishonorable discharge and a lower rank.

The terrible incident happened inside the couple’s Hawaii home on July 12, 2024. Dewayne confessed in court that he hit Mischa in the skull with a machete after a heated disagreement. They had the machete at their house.

The hit was so hard that the machete became stuck in her head.

Hawaii News Now says that Dewayne told the court that he eventually got the blade out and then tried to c*t up her body with it in a grisly attempt to hide the m**der.

When it didn’t work, he acquired a chainsaw and c*t off her limbs and legs, leaving her head and torso intact.

Dewayne told the court that he put the body parts in three trash bags and threw them in a dumpster on the military base, knowing that they would be transferred to a local incinerator.

The bodies of Mischa and her unborn child have never been found. The U.S. Army said they are thought to have been burned up with Hawaii’s rubbish.

Dewayne apologized to Mischa’s family, his own family, and his fellow troops at the sentencing.

“My wife didn’t deserve that.” He answered, “She wasn’t trash.” “I hate myself for what I did every day.”

Nicholas Hurd, a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and the prosecutor in the case, said that no penalty could ever make up for such a terrible loss.

Hurd said, “While no amount of confinement will ever be able to truly ease the pain of the loss of Ms. Johnson and her unborn child for her family and friends, it is my hope that Pfc. Johnson’s admission of guilt and the information he provided as a part of the plea agreement can provide some element of closure.”

Dewayne didn’t tell anyone that Mischa was missing until two weeks after she was killed, even though he knew she was dead.

The Army said that he even helped search for her across Hawaii, pretending to be a member of the community.

During the investigation, prosecutors found further material that was troubling. KTIV said that Dewayne had been texting 18 different women on dating apps and that detectives uncovered pictures of him having sex with another lady on his phone.

Mischa’s loved ones are horrified by the horrible aspects of the case. Her sister Mariana Tapiz spoke to Island News about the family’s efforts to concentrate on the positive moments.

As a family, we’re just trying not to think about how horrible her last moments with him were. “Instead, we’re trying to remember the happy times we had with her and remember her in that life,” Tapiz added.
