Tom Holland is in the hospital after an accident on the set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the fourth movie in Marvel’s popular series.

The Daily Mail says that the 29-year-old British actor hit his head while doing a stunt on Friday and may have gotten a concussion.

Because of the event, filming has been put on hold while Holland gets well and gets treatment.

    Tom Holland’s Crash

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service told The Sun that they were summoned at 10:30 a.m. on Friday to help a patient who had been hurt at Leavesden Studios in Watford.

An ambulance came to the scene and took the patient to the hospital for more treatment.

Sources told De@dline that the concussion was “mild” and Holland should be back at work in a few days “just to be safe.” But some rumors say that filming might be on hold for a few weeks.

Father Says Holland Will Be Out of Filming for a While

Dominic, Holland’s father, went to a charity dinner in Mayfair on Sunday and said that his son will be “away from filming for a while.”

The actor was seen at the same event with his fiancée and co-star Zendaya, 28, but he reportedly departed early because he wasn’t feeling well.

The catastrophe could have big implications on manufacturing. The £150 million project Spider-Man: Brand New Dayb has already been moved back until July 31, 2026.

Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios executives are likely to meet to talk about what to do next.

Holland had previously been seen filming in Glasgow earlier this summer, when the city was turned into New York City for the movie. Production didn’t start until August.

Last month, he was also seen filming heartbreaking sequences at Aunt May’s grave in Surrey, with Zendaya there to help.

    Spider-Man Gets a “Fresh Start”

According to the Independent, director Destin Daniel Cretton officially showed the movie for the first time at CinemaCon in March. He called it a “bold new chapter” for Peter Parker.

We left you with a huge cliffhanger at the end of No Way Home, so Spider-Man: Brand New Day offers a new beginning. That’s exactly what it is. Holland told followers in a video message, “That’s all I can say.”

Cretton said, “I’m spending my time with some of the best artists in the world working on the next stage of this amazing character.”

Every day we nerd out about the suit, how to swing, how to make an event, an emotional story, and a ride that we’ve never really seen before.

The new title doesn’t use the “home” theme like the last three Holland-led movies: Homecoming (2017), Far From Home (2019), and No Way Home (2021).

Instead, it refers to a 2008 Marvel Comics story in which Doctor Strange’s spell made everyone forget Peter Parker and ended his marriage to Mary Jane.
