In a 2018 interview with the Herald Sun, McMahon, who was the only son of former Australian Prime Minister Sir William McMahon, talked about his childhood and said, “My Dad… was born in 1908.” It was significantly different back then than it is now.

He must have had a peculiar idea of how you were raised in 1908 compared to how you raised your kids in 1972. It would have been so confusing. He also said that being a husband at that time would have been different.
In Netflix’s The Residence, the Magenta actor played the Australian Prime Minister, which brought his life full circle.

We are thinking of McMahon’s family and friends right now.
