A celebrity from Pitch Perfect is standing up for their relationship with a big age difference.
People who have made disparaging remarks about Anna Camp’s relationship with Jade Whipkey, who is eighteen years her junior, have come out against them.
The 42-year-old Camp, who is famous for her parts in Pitch Perfect and True Blood, said in February 2025 that she is seeing a 24-year-old stylist named Whipkey. In a TikTok video that Mr. Big USA posted, she did just that.

In the video, she talked about her dating preferences in a funny way, saying, “Well, I don’t expect anything anymore because I’m dating a woman, and it’s great.”
In June, the couple made their red carpet debut at the Los Angeles premiere of Camp’s new movie, Bride Hard.
Camp quickly replied to criticisms from the public about the age gap between them.
Camp defended their relationship in the comments section of a Pink News piece about it, saying, “I’ve dated men my age, and Jade is WAY more mature than any of them.”

We can discuss anything and anything, and we have more in common than anyone else I’ve ever dated, she continued.
The actress was courteous despite the public scrutiny, saying, “Everyone has the right to their opinion, and I wish everyone well.” Especially during this Pride month, she expressed her support.
Some people have taken Camp’s comment as a defense of her personal life and a broader support of LGBTQ+ couples during Pride celebrations.

Camp was married to actor Michael Mosley before she started dating her current partner.
The two started dating when Camp was 21. They got married in 2010 and divorced in 2013.
When she was on Penn Badgley’s podcast Podcrushed, she talked about their relationship and called it “a one-night stand that lasted seven years.” She said that she grew a lot as a person over that period.

Camp married Skylar Astin, her Pitch Perfect co-star, in 2016, but they got a divorce in 2019.
Camp is still working in TV and movies professionally. She most recently played twin sisters Maddie and Regan Lockwood in the last season of Netflix’s thriller You.
After the debut of Bride Hard, Whipkey showed her support and love on social media by saying, “You crushed it, honey; congrats.” I feel so lucky to be with you.
