A Ukrainian model endured serious injuries while on her birthday trip to Dubai which led to a worldwide investigative puzzle as she lay lifeless next to the road without explanation.
The 20-year-old Ukrainian model Maria Kovalchuk came to the UAE in December 2024 to build her modeling career as she worked through her OnlyFans content creation platform.
On March 9 which marked her birthday two men who claimed to work in modeling arranged a party for the Ukrainian influencer.
The model shared her plans to her mother about going to the event followed by an overnight stay with the men she had recently met. Nobody in her family ever received more communications from her after that day.
The planned Thai flight reservation of Maria was missed which caused her mother and friends to start worrying two days later.
All connection to the model disappeared because her mobile phone was off and she stopped posting on social media. It appeared as if she had completely vanished.
The disappearance of the young woman set off a race across Dubai as her friends contacted both government officials and online forums in their search. People started feeling increasingly worried about her safety during the period of disappearance.
Online speculations circulated about possible human trafficking targeting Tamir because viewers thought she was drawn to elite parties whose existence remained a secret on social forums.

One such theory linked her disappearance to alleged “Porta Potty” parties—an underground and disturbing phenomenon in Dubai where women are reportedly exploited in exchange for large sums of money.
Russian attorney Katya Gordon issued a public statement that warned all girls and women along with their mothers against attending such events.
You should avoid such risky money-spending occasions since they could result in being killed. The direct warning made widespread apprehension about what happened to Maria much more intense.
Russian model Angelina Doroshenkova refused her invitation to the alleged party although she was one of its recipients; she later returned to Russia. “We all hope for the best and are very grateful to everyone who took part in the search,” she said.
The police discovered Maria barely alive ten days later on a Dubai roadway where doctors urgently operated on her broken spine and fractured legs and arms. All her possessions along with phone and passport disappeared.

The Dubai Police organization published their investigatory findings through a news disclosure which brought a surprising development to the distressing situation.
The investigators state that she accessed a guarded building site independently but fell to her death from elevated ground leaving her nearly killed.
“The Ukrainian citizen previously reported missing is currently hospitalised, receiving medical care with her family present,” the police stated. “A comprehensive investigation has revealed that she sustained serious injuries after entering a restricted construction site alone and falling from a height.”
The authorities declare Dubai Police maintains regular contact with the relatives and proper authorities to deliver essential support.
