As their fight gets worse, Donald Trump has warned Elon Musk that there will be “serious consequences.”
When he talked to the New York Post, the former president made a bold statement by saying something quite cutting in five words to his former tech partner: “Nothing surprises me.”

Musk and Trump were very close at one point. In fact, Musk even got a shiny cabinet job as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) during Trump’s campaign return. But just when things were going well for the two of them, their relationship took a turn for the worse. The friction grew when Musk spoke out against Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill,” which promised big tax cuts and has just passed through the Republican-controlled House.
Musk didn’t hold back when he called the bill a “abomination.” Trump hit back fiercely, as expected.

He knew the bill better than anyone else. The bill is great. Trump told the New York Post, “It’s going to pass, and it’s going to be great for everyone, including him.”
He said, “And you can see it now.” Look at the job stats for today. The stock market is already up 600 points, and they’re going up fast.”
Things became worse when Musk said that Trump was included in the Jeffrey Epstein files. However, that post on X was eventually taken down.

Trump was very open about his relationship with Musk in a recent phone interview with NBC’s Kristen Welker. When asked if the “bromance” was ended for good, Trump said, “I would assume so, yeah.”
He went on, “I have too much to do right now. You know, I won the election by a lot. I gave him a lot of time off before anything happened. I even saved his life when I was in charge the first time. I don’t want to talk to him.
Trump is now threatening Musk with what he calls “serious consequences” if the CEO of SpaceX helps any future Democratic elections. Trump said, “If he does, he’ll have to pay the price,” but he didn’t say what that price may be.
This isn’t simply political posturing; it’s a direct threat since Musk’s companies work for the government a lot.
Karoline Leavitt, the White House Press Secretary, also spoke out against the incident on CNN. Elon is dissatisfied with the One Big Beautiful Bill since it doesn’t feature the policies he intended. This is a terrible episode for him. The President’s main goal is to get this historic bill passed and make our country great again.

She also said on Fox News’ Hannity, “Just a few days ago, Elon praised the president for his great leadership in cutting waste and fraud in our government, which this bill does.”
She said, “The only thing that has changed since Friday is that Elon went back to work for his companies. As a businessman, he has every right to speak for them.” But as President, Trump needs to fight for this country.
