Many people are surprised by Melania Trump’s scant presence at the White House since her husband took office. Originally inaugurated for a second term as the 47th President of the United States on January 20 this year, Donald Trump just celebrated 100 days in his current term but the First Lady has stayed mostly under the radar.

At 55 years old, the former model has opted to keep a low profile; she has hardly been seen in public lately and most famously absent from her husband’s campaign activities. Melania also chose not to show up for Trump’s court appearances and has made few public appearances, including the late Pope Francis’s burial the day before her birthday and the traditional White House Easter Egg Roll participation.

She appeared on May 8 to unveil a postage stamp honoring former First Lady Barbara Bush during a ceremony for military moms and spoke in March calling on legislators to address issues related to “revenge porn” and artificial intelligence-generated explicit images affecting young women.

Her disappearance has piqued interest regarding her location even with these few appearances. The New York Times has claimed that she spent less than 14 days at the White House over her husband’s first 108 days in office. Although this estimate could perhaps be seen as ‘generous,’ her obvious absence might not be as controversial as it seems.

In how many days has Trump been in the White House?

The low frequency of Melania Trump to the White House following the inauguration of her husband surprises a lot. Beginning his second term as the 47th President of the United States on January 20, this year, Donald Trump First Lady Melania has mainly stayed out of the public glare, while he lately celebrated exceeding 100 days in office.

At 55, the former model is well-known for her inclination for solitude and has lately been rarely seen in public, even missing events of her husband’s campaign. Melanie has also skipped Trump’s court appearances and only just shown there for a few noteworthy events: the funeral of Pope Francis the day before her birthday and the traditional Easter Egg Roll held at the White House.

Her infrequent public talks have piqued interest, including one in March on the need of legislators tackling problems of “revenge porn” and negative artificial intelligence-generated images influencing young women. On May 8 she also made a visit to commemorate military mothers and reveal a postage stamp portraying former First Lady Barbara Bush.

But according to The New York Times, Melanie has only visited the White House a few times during her husband’s 108 days in office—less than 14 days total. Some may even consider this count as “generous,” which fuels rumors about her absence that some might find less controversial than it seems.

How does the White House live?

More over one hundred days into his presidency, Trump has apparently spent a lot of time away from the White House, regularly visiting his own estates including Trump National Doral in Florida and Mar-a-Lago. NBC News claims he has spent around 40 days at sites other than his official office, using 12 of his 14 weekends on his personal properties. On nine of those weekends, he decided to stay at Mar-a-Lago, where he enjoys golfing in West Palm Beach or Jupiter.

Can you tell me what Melania has said about returning to the White House?

Despite believing she lacked major support from the panel during her husband’s first term, Melanie Trump said in a recent interview her will to advance her “Be Best” campaign focused at eradicating cyberbullying is strong. She considered her interaction with her husband and said, “I counsel him. He listens sometimes and not others; this is very normal.

About a possible return to the White House, Melania said she would be wherever she most needed. “I will be in the White House,” she said, noting that her presence would also be mandated in New York and Palm Beach.

Emphasizing her positions, she added, “My first responsibility is to be a parent, a first lady, and a wife. Once we get on January 20, I’m here to serve our nation. Declaring her independence, Melania said, “Some could consider me just as the wife of the president, but I stand on my own two feet. Though that’s all fine, I have my own ideas and sometimes I disagree with my hubby.
