Miley Cyrus told Liam Hemsworth that she was a v!rg!n when she wasn’t.
Cyrus is a 31-year-old American singer-songwriter who has had hits like “Flowers,” “Wrecking Ball,” and “Party In The U.S.A.”
As the daughter of country artist Billy Ray Cyrus, she became a teen idol in the 2000s when she starred in the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana.

In 2009, she met Liam Hemsworth, an Australian actor best known for playing Gale Hawthorne in the Hunger Games movies.
They were one of Hollywood’s most famous couples for years, but now that they are divorced, Cyrus has said that she lied to her ex-husband.
Cyrus and Hemsworth met while making the coming-of-age love drama The Last Song. The two declared their romance not long after the movie was over.
The two would have a rocky relationship, breaking up and getting back together many times.

In 2012, the two became engaged, which surprised everyone. Cyrus told People magazine, “I’m so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam.”
But just a few months after this joyous news, rumors of a breakup spread, and in April 2013, the couple put delayed their wedding, even though they never gave an official date.
At the time, a source told People, “They’re still engaged and living together.” They just figured out that there is no rush to be married and that it’s preferable to wait a little longer.
Another source told the newspaper that Cyrus and Hemsworth wanted to “work out their issues” before getting married.

The two stopped following one other on Instagram in September 2013, and two days later, they revealed that their engagement was over.
Cyrus and Hemsworth broke up after a few years. In January 2016, there were rumors that the two were back together.
The singer of “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” would confirm this by posting a picture of herself on Instagram with her engagement ring on.
Cyrus told Billboard that after they broke up in 2013, she concentrated on herself. She stated, “I needed to change so much.” And it’s too hard to change when someone else doesn’t.

On December 26, 2018, Cyrus posted a black-and-white picture of herself and Hemsworth kissing on Instagram, confirming rumors that they had been married.
But in August 2019, just a few months after they confirmed their marriage, a spokesperson for Cyrus informed People, “Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time.”
Fans have long thought that some of Cyrus’s songs are about her relationship with the star of The Witcher.
“Flowers” is one of the more well-known songs. It got a lot of good reviews and was a big hit.
Billboard says that the first stanza of the song made many think it was about Hemsworth because it seemed to talk about the couple’s Malibu home being destroyed in the Woosley Fire of 2018.
Cyrus sings, “We were good, we were gold / A kind of dream that can’t be sold / We were right until we weren’t / Built a home and watched it burn.”

It’s very likely that the pop star talks about Hemsworth in her songs, but she has talked about their time together directly.
Cyrus told Hemsworth that she was a v!rg!n on the Call Her Daddy podcast, and she kept it up for over ten years.
The singer of “7 Things” stated she informed her ex that she had s** with someone else so she wouldn’t look like a loser.
He said, “Oh, who have you had s** with?” She remembered, “I couldn’t think of anyone, so I just made up someone I knew but we had never actually had s** before.”
But when Cyrus turned 24, she had to tell the truth.
The pop artist stated, “[Hemsworth’s] friend ended up marrying him, and then it was like, ‘Oh, now my friend is marrying someone you’ve hooked up with?'” So, when I turned 24, I had to admit that I had lied when I was 16. “I held on to that lie for about ten years.”
