Angelina Jolie remarked that working with Denzel Washington was the “best s**” she’s ever experienced.
The actress talked about her favourite lover, and let’s just say that Brad Pitt, Billy Bob Thornton, and Jared Leto won’t be happy with this one.
While working on The Bone Collector, which is about a quadriplegic ex-homicide detective and his partner trying to find a serial killer who is terr0rising New York City, Jolie starred with Denzel Washington. He charmed her so much that she says he’s the “best s**” she’s ever had.
But the twist is that she didn’t intend it in a physical way.
Jolie told Dark Horizons shortly after the movie came out in 1999 that “seducing someone with your mind” was a “huge turn-on.”
She noted that the trips these two characters go on and the strong bond that forms between them are interesting. She also said that the scenario employs smell and general intelligence to attract the forensic specialist.
She said it was a major turn-on to seduce someone with your wits. She later said that the scene was “the best s** I ever had.”
She said that even though she was dating Washington on set, it was still rather “lonely” overall.
I was very lonely, and it drove me a little crazy. She said, “From the start, I felt like I couldn’t do this, like I couldn’t lead a movie and be responsible for this, like I couldn’t save a life and go in there and be a cop.”
Jolie even thought that she wasn’t helpful as a person or as a good person during this time. She went on to say, “It was just all those things by yourself: Am I good enough, am I worth anything, really, on a spiritual deep level?” You start to understand what she had to go through and how she had to get through it.
She said that the movie almost made her crazy since her character was so crazy inside.
Unfortunately, the movie didn’t do very well when it came out; it got a rather bad 29% on Rotten Tomatoes… Oh no.
