The internet’s favorite Southern starlet, known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” has finally broken her silence after vanishing from social media.
Her comeback into public life is not a typical event.
At 22 Haliey Welch achieved internet fame through her spontaneous Nashville interview but she returned with a new reason to grab attention.
It’s not her usual internet presence for humor but since her name got involved in the biggest cryptocurrency scandal of 2024.

Welch of Belfast Tennessee used her social media fame by creating Talk Tuah podcast under Betr Media and establishing her own clothing line.
After achieving fame through memes so quickly Welch gained total loyalty from her substantial fan base.
In December Welch disappeared from the internet which led fans to wonder intensely about her situation.
Word spread online about her pregnancy and legal issues plus death rumors enslaving her fans who were clueless about her disappearance.
Until now.
On March 25 Welch made her social media return with a fun but suspenseful Instagram video that she named “What’d I Miss”.

At the start the video shows her acting sleeping before she responds to phony death notices and later pretends to experience pregnancy and imprisonment.
“Not the comeback we wanted but the comeback we needed,” one fan commented, summing up the collective reaction.
Others did not see this as something funny.
People tie Welch with a digital currency failure that left many investors empty-handed because of her name’s association with this crash.
In December 2024 Welch introduced $HAWK cryptocurrency to her followers.

After its launch Crypto Times confirmed $HAWK exceeded $490 million in market capitalization before plummeting over 90% within hours.
According to Bloomberg Law investors who participated lost more than $151,000 from their investments. Some even invested their complete life savings and future education funds into the project.
One person lost their life savings plus college money to buy $HAWK tokens which you promoted enthusiastically.
Legal records show that Tuah The Moon Foundation launched the coin through an overseas platform created by overHere Ltd and its founder Clinton So.
The open legal proceedings charge the project developers with offering unauthorized financial products and misleading people by focusing their promotion in the United States.

Community president Alex Larson Schultz joins Tuah The Moon Foundation in the complaint because he endorsed the coin project.
The lawsuit does not mention Welch as one of its defendants.
In a since-deleted post on X, she stated: “I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected, and the broader community.”
She added that she is “fully cooperating” with legal teams to uncover the truth and hold “responsible parties accountable.”
For the last 90 days she remained quiet which made her fans and others wonder when she would speak about the situation.

The public can again find Welch online after her Instagram return alongside a daring comedy performance that tackles the scandal head-on.
Because for some, the “Hawk Tuah” punchline came at a painfully high price.
Online users continue to watch if Haliey Welch’s upcoming actions will restore her reputation or make things worse.
