Opening about the emotional toll his 2015 breakup with Megan Fox took, Brian Austin Green said he was greatly affected.
Renowned for his performance in Beverly Hills, 90210, the actor addressed claims alleging he “groomed” the Transformers star on an Old-ish podcast episode recently.

The first meeting on the ABC show Hope & Faith in 2004 was held by Green, 51, and Fox, 38. Before they were married in 2010, their relationship saw ups and downs. When they first started dating, Green was 31 years old, while Fox was only 18 years old.
They split temporarily in 2015 but reconciled a year later. Still, by 2020, they once more sought divorce. Following the breakup of their relationship, Fox had a relationship with Machine Gun Kelly, while Green became engaged to the dancer Sharna Burgess.
Green discussed in the podcast episode how he and Fox started a relationship after he had already welcomed his 23-year-old son Kassius with ex-partner Vanessa Marcil. “She picked on a lot of responsibility for him and got involved in all the legal matters between Vanessa and me at a young age,” Green said. He pointed out that Fox might have been overwhelmed by this weight.

“I believe she became to feel she missed out on being a carefree child,” Green added. “She entered a committed relationship with a guy with a two-year-old right at over 18.”
He understood that her wanting to break off the partnership most likely sprang from these circumstances. “She wanted out fast when she realised it was too much, which presented challenges for me. Although I could see her viewpoint, it did not lessen the suffering.”
Green also told me that after they welcomed their two boys, Noah, 12, and Bodhi, 11, Fox asked him about divorce. His open comments help to clarify the complexity of their relationship and the difficulties they had being young parents.

Brian Austin Green revealed he was experiencing ulcerative colitis while his ex-partner Megan Fox was in New York filming the film “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.” Since I was unable to even walk, he told me that I couldn’t accompany her. I had to stay housebound undergoing physical therapy and speech.
Green revealed that Fox indicated she wanted a divorce when she got back from her business vacation. Saying, “I didn’t even have the physical ability to argue with her,” he felt too weak to fight for their marriage at that point. The actor called the split “killed [him]” and said it was a terrible shock.
Green and Fox welcomed their third child, Journey, who is now eight years old, after reuniting. Thinking back on this era, he remarked, “We were in a good spot… No mountain exists whose height would make climbing impossible. The pair suffered another blow, though, when Fox once more approached him about calling off their marriage. Green laughed, “I was devastated.”

After 15 years together, Fox formally broke off their relationship in 2020 and later started seeing rapper Machine Gun Kelly, with whom she has a daughter.
In a recent appearance on “Old-ish,” Green talked about claims that he “groomed” Fox when he was young. He linked his father’s influence to his unwillingness to explain these accusations.
Green said that he is very good at taking emotion out of things and making choices based on logic.

Saying, “People are going to believe what they want,” he felt that defending oneself could cause constant scrutiny. As people watch his activities over time, he thinks they will view him differently.
Green has lately concentrated on his family and personal development while negotiating the complexity of his former relationships.
