Vivian Jenna Wilson from Elon Musk’s family showed an honest evaluation of split family connections and the mental pain that accompanies childhood in such a well-known nontraditional home environment as she revealed in a confession-style interview.
As an adult who transitioned to Xavier Alexander Musk then to Vivian Jenna Wilson in 2022 after revealing her transgender identity she detailed to Teen Vogue her broken ties with Elon Musk and the difficulty of meeting her many sibling relatives.
Since 2020 Vivian maintained no contact with Musk and chose complete seclusion from his public identity and persona.
She made headlines at the time by petitioning a California court to legally change her name, citing “gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape, or form.”
The new interview provides Vivian exclusive information about her relationship with her family members who maintained an emotionally disconnected bond and chaotic parental boundaries in particular regarding her siblings.
“I will say I do not actually know how many siblings I have, if you include half-siblings,” she admitted candidly. “That’s just a fun fact. It’s really good for two truths and a lie.”
The billionaire entrepreneur known for fathering more than a dozen children through various relationships fails to disclose all his children to his only known legitimate offspring.
“I found out about the Shivon Zilis thing the same time everyone else did,” she said, referring to the Neuralink executive who had multiple children with Musk. “I had no idea before that.”
Her revelation about being one of his many children emerged through reading Reddit posts.
“I found out about Grimes having a second child because a drag queen posted about it on Reddit,” she added. I would possess two nickels when counting the number of times Reddit revealed my half-siblings to me.
Vivian explained that she and her mother Justine Wilson who is Musk’s first wife have no blood relations to their mutual side of the family since Justine is the mother of his first six children.
My family has no contact with those relatives since… I don’t. My mom doesn’t really either. She’s divorced, werk,” she said.
“So yeah. My concern about what others in his family do is nonexistent. The issues with those people don’t concern me at all.
The situation becomes particularly clear as Vivian discusses her encounters with X Æ A-Xii and the other second cousins whom Musk shares with musician Grimes.
She met X Æ A-Xii just once when he was small yet she has only interacted with one child born to Musk outside his relationship with her mother.
The emotional suffering experienced by Vivian emerges primarily from her failure to forge a father-daughter intimacy.
Her confusion stems from not knowing the true number of her siblings and learning about her unknown relatives only through internet content on Reddit.
Through her narrative she describes how she handles her identity and detachment and distance from a father figure while existing under the prominent fame of a man she wants to cut ties with entirely.
