After Zendaya removed her follower Tom Holland on Instagram, fans exploded in anger. However, the Spider-Man actor has offered an explanation.
The abrupt Instagram purge happened just before Zendaya wiped off her “following” list, leaving many to wonder if her couple was quietly separated.
One fan was concerned and wrote, “Why did Zendaya take away Tom off of Instagram ???? Mama Miaaaa, don’t let it be…”
Another wrote: “Break up news is coming, I fear,” and a third person demanded: “For the glory of my mother! Don’t make me feel scared like that.” As it came out, Zendaya was just tidying her Instagram account and not cutting the ties.
Holland was adamant about the rumors in a short exchange with an TMZ photographer. When asked “Have you split up with Zendaya?” Holland answered in a clear manner: “No, absolutely not.”
In doing so, the actor made fans feel at ease and reiterated that their bond remains strong.
The pair first started to spark romance rumors in 2021, following many years of friendship dating prior to their appearance in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016. Despite all the attention, the pair have maintained a remarkably private relationship, sometimes celebrating the other via social networks.
In September, Zendaya put the record straight regarding rumors she was engaged following the posting of photos of her with an engagement diamond ring.
In a video, she explained that she posted the picture of my cap… In other words, not to show the right-hand ring, You guys. Seriously, do you believe that this is how I take off the deuce? Like, what?!
Free of tabloids, Tom also praised Zendaya on the Dish from Waitrose podcast, which features Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett.

Tom talked about the moments on set where you can feel that your companion is there with you.
