Air India has revealed the amount families of the people who lost their lives on the plane that crashed and k!lled that occurred in Ahmedabad will receive.
The Air India AI 171 flight was bound to London Gatwick and was expected to arrive at UK UK at 6.25pm the time in the UK this evening.

The plane smashed into a neighborhood called Meghani Nagar after taking off from India’s Ahmedabad Airport. Authorities have confirmed that the plane was crashing into a medical college hostel.
As per Air India, there were 242 people aboard the aircraft. Air India stated that of those the 169 passengers, 169 are Indian citizens 53 are British citizens, one Canadian national, and seven Portuguese nationals.
Commissioner G.S. Malik from the Ahmedabad city police provided an account of the event. He told The Associated Press that it appears that there were no survivors from the crash’ however one survivor has been confirmed by the police.
The Tata Group, which owns Air India, has released an announcement which is credited by Natarajan Chandrasekaran, the chairman of the company.

“No words are able to adequately describe the sadness we feel in this moment. Our prayers and thoughts are with the families that lost loved ones, as well as with those who have suffered injuries.

It went on to say: Tata Group will provide one crore, or $116,000, to the family members of each victim who lost their life as a result of the tragedy. We will also pay for the medical costs of the injured and make sure they receive the needed care and assistance. In addition, we will offer assistance with the construction of the BJ Medical’s Hospital.
The statement reads”We remain firm in solidarity with the families and communities through this terrible moment.
Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi also took to Twitter to express his thoughts on how the tragedy in Ahmedabad has shocked and shocked us’, noting that the tragedy is devastating beyond the words. In this dark hour I am thinking of all those who is affected. I have been in contact with the authorities and ministers who are trying to help the people who are affected.
