Last Wednesday, Charlie Kirk, a right-wing political activist and aide to President Donald Trump, was k!lled during an event at Utah Valley University.
While talking on campus, the 31-year-old was sh0t in the neck, which caused global anger and a manhunt.
Authorities later apprehended Tyler Robinson, 22, in Utah. He is being jailed without bond in connection with the m*rder.
Wife Erika writes a sad tribute
On Friday, Kirk’s wife Erika posted a bunch of pictures and videos from his burial on social media.
The carousel post started with an image of the couple and their two kids—a three-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son—and then it went on to show Erika at her husband’s open coffin.
She was crying, holding Kirk’s coat, caressing and kissing his hand, and whispering, “I love you.”
In a different picture, she clutched a Batesville LifeStories Keepsake Medallion with an eagle next to his hand.
A video showed the coffin being moved out of the room, and Usha Vance, the wife of Vice President JD Vance, was there to comfort the widow.
Erika wrote, “The world is evil,” and then she called it “evil.” But our Savior. Our Lord. Our Lord. He… He is really nice. I will never find the words. Always.
She went on to say that the sound of this widow crying is like a battle cry that echoes around the world. I don’t understand any of this. But I know you do, and so does our Lord.
She warned the man who k!lled her husband that they had no idea what they had just done to this wife. You have no clue how big my husband’s mission is now that they think it is. You. All of you. Not ever. Forget about Charlie, my spouse. I’ll see to it.
Lastly, she wished her husband peace: “Rest in the arms of our Lord, baby, as he covers you with the words you always wanted to hear: ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant.’
A Terrible Detail
One thing that people noticed in the pictures was that Kirk’s hands were yellow.
One person said, “My deepest condolences!” But this all looks so false! His hands don’t have any rips on them, he doesn’t have a wedding ring, and the yellow hands look like silicone.
But as others have said, there is an easy answer to this.
One individual said on Reddit, “Not the best job embalming based on his hands.” The wound would be something that can be hidden. There is work and art to accomplish, but it is feasible.
Another person noted that the color is probably due to the sort of embalming fluid they used and the fact that the deceased’s complexion was pale. Keep in mind that he doesn’t have any blood in his veins anymore. They took it out and put in embalming fluid, which comes in all colors, each color utilized for a different reason.
Public comments that made people cry
Erika gave her first speech in front of people from the office where her husband had his podcast. She promised, “I won’t let his legacy die.”
She remembered a time the night before with their kid when she said, “Where’s daddy?” the kid had requested.
What do you say to a three-year-old? Erika said that she told her daughter, “Baby, daddy loves you so much.” Don’t worry. He can afford your blueberry budget since he’s on a work trip with Jesus.
Erika also talked about how much he cared about politics and family in her speech. She praised those who tried to save him on Turning Point USA’s YouTube channel and said, “Mr. President, my husband loved you.” He also knew that you loved him.
She also said again, “But most of all, Charlie loved his kids.” And he adored me. With all his heart. And he made sure I knew that every day.
