Three individuals were k!lled when a sh0oter opened fire in Times Square in New York City early on Saturday morning.
The NYPD told the Guardian that the gunfire started around 1:20 AM near the corner of West 44th Street and 7th Avenue, right outside the Hard Rock Cafe.

According to the police, the firing started when two people got into a fight, and the juvenile suspect is said to have pulled the trigger.
The New York Post says that three people were harmed in the incident: an 18-year-old lady was grazed in the neck, a 19-year-old guy was sh0t in the right foot, and a 65-year-old man was sh0t in the left leg.
They all had to go to Bellevue Hospital right away, and they are all stable now.
According to an NYPD spokesperson who talked to The Independent, the sh0oter was arguing with one of the victims before the sh0oting.

He has been arrested, and a gun was also found. He hasn’t been charged yet. Because the teen is so young, his name has not been made public.
People who shared videos of the situation on social media show people running away in fear as police surrounded a car and told people to leave. A video showed one person being transported into an ambulance on a stretcher.

According to NYPD Commissioner Jessica S. Tisch, this sh0oting happened during the city’s lowest level of gun crime since records began.
New York City saw 412 sh0otings between January and July 2025. This was the eighth month in a row that significant violence went down.

Still, this most recent wave of violence is a clear sign that the city can still have abrupt, lethal flare-ups.
A sh0oter sh0t four individuals to de@th in an office building last month, including NYPD officer Didarul Islam, before k!lling himself with a gunsh0t wound. The gunman had been targeting the NFL headquarters.
