People planned to take the ordinary international flight from Moscow to Hong Kong with no expectation of danger.
However the flight transformed into the largest aviation disaster of its period.
On March 23 1994 Aeroflot Flight 593 lifted off from Sheremetyevo International Airport.
The plane traveled from Moscow to drop off passengers and crew at Kai Tak Airport in Hong Kong with its total 75 people onboard.
During the flight to Hong Kong the Airbus A310 demonstrated no technical problems until landing.
Flight control systems stayed secure during this journey while weather showed no signs of risk at that moment.

The pilot relief team included Yaroslav Vladimirovich Kudrinsky who was a 40-year-old experienced aviator at the time of his assignment.
During his flight he took his children Yana who was 12 years old and Eldar who was 16 years old to enjoy the experience.
During cruise mode with autopilot on Kudrinsky took his children to sit in the flight deck.
According to sources he normally let them use the official pilot’s chair and touch the aviation system.
No one expected problems since the automatic control system was meant to prevent accidents.
Eldar put excessive pressure on the controls and the autopilot system automatically cut power without anyone noticing.

Eldar failed to notice that manual control took over and unintentionally made the plane veer from its proper course.
The crew did not realize at all that they were heading toward a catastrophe during the sudden plane turn to the right.
They failed to respond to the problem early enough as the plane had already twisted at a risky 90 degrees.
The Airbus A310 had not been made to handle this extreme bank angle and headed toward an aircraft stall.
The crew members inside the flight deck quickly panicked when they noticed the crisis. Alarms rang.
The crew members could not grasp the emergency at hand.

They stopped the first dive but their fast pull-up created another stall condition.
After hours the plane disappeared from radar while flying over the Kuznetsk Alatau mountains in Siberia.
People at home endured distress during the search for survivors across hard-to-reach mountain terrain.
The search team confirmed in their findings that Flight 593 hit the ground hard killing all passengers without delay.
Rescue teams encountered great delays when they tried to recover the remains of passengers from the steep hilly terrain.

The voice recorder in the aircraft’s cockpit showed what occurred right before the plane crashed.
The flight recorder picked up crew and children voices during their panic inside the cockpit.
Express reported that Kudrinsky yelled repeatedly for the pilot to return to the back of the plane. Go to the back, Eldar! You must understand the threat in front of us.
He told his passengers to leave immediately to hide the severity of the problem. All is normal.”
However the tragic result became worse when investigators uncovered the real cause.
Mechanical problems did not exist as a pilot error caused this fatal accident.

Flight experts found that activating the autopilot system would have restored control over the aircraft.
Because of operator errors with manual inputs the plane lost control and crashed as it entered a double-stall state.
After 30 years the famous last words of a father who tried saving his plane crash into permanent aviation record.
