A former Miss Finland has spoken out after claiming she was thrown out of a restaurant for wearing what staff deemed an “inappropriate” outfit.
With her Miss Finland title from 2018 Erika Helin posted on Instagram about her surprise and anger toward the restaurant experience in Helsinki.
The 28-year-old model picked a pink heart-print bralette combined with a black tiered mini skirt using black heels for her evening wear.
The night began at an unspecified restaurant bar where she spent time with friends before an unexpected event changed the evening.

During her first entry into the establishment Erika had gained permission to stay but a security guard approached her during evening hours.
She shared on Instagram with 116,000 followers about how the guard unexpectedly demanded she leave the establishment immediately.
Calling him a “jerk,” Erika said she was “dragged out of the bar” and too stunned to respond as he loudly criticized her outfit.
The security guard accused her of violating the dress code although no such rules existed at the time of her arrival.
The guard claimed Erika’s outfit lacked nothing improper yet she would have shifted clothes if he had informed her before this encounter.

“In my opinion, it is contradictory to even take a customer in if the outfit is not suitable,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
The model added that it felt unfair to be judged for simply showing skin and said it was “sad” how people still view the female body as something inappropriate.
She expressed sadness about how her natural body causes people to make inappropriate reactions even though it is made that way naturally.
Based on living between Finland and another country Erika asserted that clothing norms are less strict elsewhere than in Finland.

She said she felt “disrespected” by the entire experience and called the restaurant’s manager afterward to explain how the situation could have been handled better.
She aimed to prevent anyone else from encountering such disrespectful removal in the future.
Erika also posted pictures of the outfit on her Instagram feed, referring to the security guard as a “misogynist” in her caption.
The restaurant photos on social media triggered substantial online discussion between those who defended both parties and those who supported the restaurant staff.

“It looks more like a bikini top,” one user commented. Despite the setting Sari tried to enter it is unacceptable to wear such an outfit to a bar.
The outfit functions well for beachgoing yet remains unsuitable for dining at a restaurant.
Many people supported Nunez by saying she displayed confidence and blaming unclear rules from the venue.
“You’re gorgeous, smart, and clever. Online users reminded her to avoid giving in to critical comments made by others.

Users received a shock when they learned that personnel physically carried Erika out of the dining establishment because she did not receive any previous notice about clothing rules.
Thousands of people engaged in an online debate over whether this incident showed Erika violated any dress code or rather the real issue involved her mistreatment.
