A lot of us know the name Macaulay Culkin, but did you know it isn’t his real name?
In the famous Christmas movie Home Alone, Culkin played the naughty Kevin McCallister, who stole everyone’s hearts. Just so you know, it’s a terrific movie to watch all year round.
Culkin became one of the most famous and successful child performers in movie history after his debut role in Home Alone at age 10 and classics like My Girl and Richie Rich in the 1990s.
Even though he’s been famous for decades, it seems that many of us didn’t know his real name until recently.
In 2021, Culkin started a poll on his website Bunny Ears, asking his fans to vote on a new middle name for him. He didn’t anticipate to have to do this, but he wanted to get rid of a middle name that he himself called “something dumb.”
Culkin, whose full name is Macaulay Carson Culkin, said, “My middle name is something dumb.” What about Larry? What color is orange? To be honest, I can’t even recall it. I requested you all to provide me some better choices so I can go to the courts and tell a judge why I need to change my middle name to something awesome.
His fans’ response was huge, with hundreds of ideas coming in. Some of the innovative and strange suggestions were “Shark Week,” “Kieran” (after his younger actor brother), “TheMcRibIsBack,” and “Publicity Stunt.”
After getting an incredible 10,000 votes, “Macaulay Culkin” was the clear winner.
It’s Gone Viral says that the actor’s new legal name is now Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.
Of course, some people think the new moniker is funny, while others are a little stunned by how strange it all is.
One person on Twitter joked, “We’re watching Home Alone 2 and I just remembered that Macaulay Culkin changed his name to Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin.” Magic
Another user said, “The number one thing about Christmas is that God became a man and lived with us.” Macaulay Culkin’s legal middle name is “Macaulay Culkin,” which is also on the list, although lower down.

I think Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin is a great name, but Shark Week is also a favorite because everyone loves Shark Week.
