A TV show with Anthony Starr from The Boys, which is very underappreciated, has been called one of the “best shows you’ve never seen.”

Starr became famous as the corrupt superhero Homelander in the very successful Prime Video series and its well-received spinoff Gen V.

Between 2013 and 2016, the gripping action series aired on Cinemax

For those who don’t know, The Boys is about The Seven, a squad of famous superheroes with amazing powers that are owned by the ruthless Vought International.

Individuals love the “supes” and treat them like celebrities, yet when they’re not in the public eye, they’re some of the worst individuals on Earth.

Luckily, there is another great show with the famous New Zealand actor that fans can binge-watch.

The U.S. show first aired from 2013 to 2016 and has four seasons and 38 episodes. It’s an exciting action series.

Though the TV show has gone under the radar, fans highly praise it.

The show that doesn’t get enough credit follows a mystery ex-convict (Starr) on his way to the sleepy village of Banshee.

He takes on the role of Sheriff Lucas Hood, the town’s slain police chief, as he tries to hide from the powerful crime boss Rabbit (Ben Cross).

Anastasia (Ivana Miličević), Hood’s ex-girlfriend and companion in crime, has also moved to Banshee and taken on a new name.

While Hood was in jail, she started a new life there, marrying and having a family with Gordon Hopewell (Rus Blackwell), the district attorney of Banshee.

Hood tries to make things right with his ex-girlfriend while still trying to keep his new identity alive.

He commits crimes with his friends Job (Hoon Lee) and Sugar (Frankie Faison), but he clashes with Kai Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen), a formidable local gangster.

Critics have lauded the show, which has a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, an 8.4/10 rating on IMDb, and an 8.8/10 rating on IGN.

Sarah Hughes of The Independent said that Banshee is “one of the best TV shows you’ve never seen.”

Hughes stated, “This is pulp television at its best, a fast, furious blast of over-the-top plotlines, scenery-chewing villains, and tightly shot action scenes.”

Jonathan Tropper and David Schickler, two well-known literary novelists, wrote it. It sounds like the result of an all-night speed-writing jag, but its silly use of pulp conventions—like a man with no name, a bad girl trying hard to be good, and a sharp-suited villain whose smooth words hide his true evil—makes it so much fun.

Collider’s Allison Keene commented, “The story is full of twists and unexpected connections, as well as its telltale brutal violence.”

The show keeps coming up with new, horrible ways to k!ll people in a sick streak of creativity.

Fans are also rushing to tell others about the show that doesn’t get enough credit.

One user wrote that the series is tough and follows its own rules. It has a lot of violence and darkness.  The acting is great, and the premise is simple and doesn’t need much, but it’s done really well, and the twists are where they should be.

Thanks for putting up this show. I really liked it.

Another person said, “This show is very original and interesting; watch all the seasons.”
