The body of a woman in Thailand was discovered in the water, weighed down with two dumbbells and chained by the neck.
On August 8, near the Ban Tha Yai pier in Phang Nga, people spotted the body of a woman floating in dirty water. It was a scary find.

Witnesses who were stunned by what they saw called the police and rescue officials right away. They saw the body, which was said to be wearing grey shorts and a brown round-neck T-shirt, floating near the shore.
We still don’t know who the victim was, where they lived, or what their nationality was. Authorities think she had been deceased for roughly two days before she was found.
One of the most troubling things about the case is that there was a hefty chain firmly wrapped around her neck and attached to the dumbbells. This was a horrible way to try to keep her hidden underwater.

Even as they tried, the body floated to the top. Cops Lieutenant Pheerawit Chaichanyut of the Khok Kloi Police Station said the matter is “serious” and that police are looking into it as a probable murder.
He claimed that the way the body was weighted down suggests that someone was trying to hide it, according to The Mirror.
The body has been submitted for a comprehensive autopsy to find out what killed the person and whether they were still alive when they were submerged.
Investigators are going through CCTV footage from the pier and adjoining waterways looking for evidence. Local leaders in Phang Nga and nearby areas have been told to look for any missing people who fit the victim’s description.

Police have asked anyone who knows something, especially those who saw something strange happening near the Ban Tha Yai pier in the last few days, to come forward right now.
This instance is similar to other recent terrible finds in Southeast Asia when victims were found with dumbbells tied to them.
At a golf course in Rayong, on February 7, 2025, rescuers discovered the body of a woman who had been de@d for some time inside a locked black rolling luggage.
Pattaya News says that the bag, which was roughly 28 inches long and partially submerged, smelled really bad. Inside was the body of a lady who was thought to be about 30 years old. She had dyed blonde hair and a scar on her breast that looked like it was from breast augmentation. She had probably been de@d for at least five days.

Authorities discovered a 10-kilogram barbell inside the luggage, likely to make it heavier. There were bloodstains on a concrete bridge that led to the pond, which made it look like the body had been thrown there.
Police think the woman was killed somewhere else and then her body was thrown into the pond.
Investigators were looking at CCTV footage along the access route and working with the Chonburi police, who had just received a report of a missing person.
