People who watched a scary catastrophe movie on Netflix were “on the edge of their seats.”
The action-thriller, which is based on genuine events, gets people’s hearts racing who want to be scared.
“This had me on the edge of my seat!” adds one excited viewer.
Another person agrees and says, “Yes, I saw this last night, and yes, it’s a movie that makes you sit on the edge of your seat.”

A third person says, “Great movie, really scary disaster scenes.”
Someone else says, “A funny disaster movie that kept my attention (and made me bite my nails).”
Richard Holm directed the movie, which came out in 2023. The script was co-written by Holm, Robin Sherlock Holm, and Nicola Sinclair.
The movie takes place in Kiruna, Sweden, a real city whose name makes the story feel even more real.

The story here is about the people of Kiruna, who have to work together to stay alive after a huge rock burst threatens to destroy the town.
Tuva Novotny plays Frigga, the security manager at the Kiruna mine, who is the main character in the story.
As a terrible rock bust causes sinkholes to grow, her position becomes more and more important. This sets off a series of events that makes her have to come up with a good evacuation plan quickly.
In addition to Frigga, the movie had great performances from Kardo Razzari as Dabir, Felicia Maxime as Mika, and Peter Franzén as Tage, to name a few.

The tension that their work creates in the situation is both exciting and nerve-wracking.
The Abyss is based on an actual event that happened four years ago, when a mining operation near Kiruna caused an earthquake that measured about 4.8 on the Richter Scale. However, the filmmakers have taken creative liberties to make the story more dramatic.
Its mix of real events and exaggerated disaster aspects makes it a must-see for Netflix users who want a thrilling movie that will keep them on the edge of their seats.
