Chris Martin made a six-word joke when it seemed like Andy Byron was spotted hugging his coworker Kristin Cabot at a Coldplay concert.

When Chris Martin spoke to the audience, he said, “Oh, look at these two,” and the awkward scene happened live on stage.

The camera zeroed in on Byron, who had his arms around Cabot. She was so surprised that she covered her face, and Byron ducked out of the frame. Martin joked, “Okay, come on, you’re fine.” What? They are either having an affair or are really shy.

He then said, “Holy sh*t!” I hope we didn’t do anything wrong.

Then, the lead singer of Coldplay started asking other couples a humorous question: “Are you two really a couple?”

After they jumped apart, the two left the screen, leaving the crowd and millions of people online wondering what had just happened.

People swiftly spread videos on TikTok once they found out that both Byron and Cabot are married to other people.

Within hours, a picture of an alleged apology statement from the CEO of Astronomer, which included a line from a Coldplay song, started to spread.

According to TMZ, the company has acknowledged that the message is not real. An astronomer informed TMZ that it was “not a real statement” and would not say if Byron would make an official announcement.

Andy Byron took over as CEO of Astronomer in 2023. According to his LinkedIn page, the New York-based platform focuses on AI, software, and analytics that are important to missions.

Nine months ago, Kristin Cabot became the Chief People Officer at the organization. The Sun says that since the clip went viral, she seems to have taken “Thornby,” her second last name, off of her social media pages.

So yet, neither Byron nor Cabot has said anything in public. The astronomer has also stayed quiet, except to say that the bogus apology was false.

The individual who filmed the event was 28-year-old Grace Springer from New Jersey. She now regrets it.

I had no idea who the two people were. Grace told The U.S. Sun, “I just thought I saw an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and decided to post it.” She said she was torn over what happened.

I feel awful for messing up these people’s life, but you play foolish games and earn ridiculous prizes.

She said something nice: “I hope their partners can get over this and have a second chance at the happiness they deserve with their future still ahead of them.” I hope my video was a blessing in disguise for them.

Grace and her friends went to Boston to see the British band, and she said that the incident was the talk of the night. She said it was a huge topic, but no one knew who they were.
