The man also told the police that the pool was generally covered, according to the records.
Brady said it was because a newborn Teddy “very quickly distracted” him, according to official documents. He said he lost focus on Trigg for three to five hours.

On July 16, Chandler Police tweeted a stunning update claiming they had finished their investigation and urged that charges be brought.
The report said, “Our investigation into the sad drowning de@th of 3-year-old Trigg Kiser is over.” We have sent this case to the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office for further assessment and any possible prosecutorial decision after carefully looking at all the material we have.
The visual that was published was explained: a felony child ab*se charge was suggested for the de@th of Trigg Kiser.
The Chandler Police Department has finished looking into the de@th of three-year-old Trigg Kiser, who drowned on May 18, 2025, after being found motionless in the family’s backyard pool.

After looking at all the information, the investigators have advised that Brady Kiser should be charged with a Class 4 crime of child ab*se.
The revelation comes after Emilie filed a lawsuit on May 27 asking the court to stop the release of details about Trigg’s de@th.
According to court documents found by Us Weekly, a judge ruled in Emilie’s favor in May and gave her temporary privacy while the court makes a final decision that balances the public’s need for information with privacy concerns.
Emilie’s lawyers said that they and their family members “desperately wish to be able to grieve in a private setting,” but that “the public won’t let their grieving go unnoticed.”

The lawsuit said that Emilie is doing everything she can to help her son, who is two months old, Theodore. It’s hard every day.
The publication of public materials, including crime scene photos, 911 call recordings from surveillance of the incident, body camera footage, and autopsy reports, could “disrupt family members’ dignity or cause irreparable harm” to the families.
Chandler Police have suggested that Brady Kiser could now be charged with a felony.
