After people heard screams coming from the volcano’s crater, the tourist was stuck there for four days.
After four days of searching, Juliana Marins, 26, was found de@d at the bottom of the active volcano.
The influencer was in Indonesia when she chose to go on a guided trek of Mount Rinjani with a group of tourists in Lombok, a popular tourist area.

They left early in the morning, but the cold and steep slopes made the walk hard right away.
One person from the group told Brazilian TV that the trip was “very hard” and that viability had been low the whole time.
The group had five individuals and a tour leader. Mount Rinjani is the second-tallest volcano in Indonesia.
The 26-year-old has been travelling alone in Southeast Asia since February, so he knew about the risks.
When Marins and a companion got to the top, they decided to walk around the rim of the crater. This is when the 26-year-old started to have trouble.

Two tour guides on the mountain encouraged her to take a rest, but they didn’t stay with her.
Her sister Marianna told the Brazilian press, “She didn’t know where to go.” She had no idea what to do.
The young woman fell to her de@th at a height of 984 feet, alone and not sure what to do.
According to the BBC, Marins slipped and tumbled down a slope at about 6:30 a.m.
She was able to hold on to a ravine at the bottom of the active volcano, but a big mistake by the rescue squad caused her de@th.

People who were nearby said they heard screams and calls for help emanating from where she fell.
Marins was too hurt to climb back up for food, drink, and shelter, even though he survived the fall, which is a miracle in itself.
It took eight hours for the rescue squad to get there, and bad weather made their search even harder.
But Marins had gone much further into the volcano, making it even harder to find her.
After four days of looking, rescue personnel finally recovered her body 1,600 feet down in the volcano.
Marin’s family posted the sad news on Instagram after many tries to save her life.

They said, “The rescue team was able to get to where Juliana Marins was.”
We are so sorry to tell you that she did not make it.
We are still very thankful for all the prayers, kind words, and help we have had.
People on social media have said that the outcome may have been drastically different if the rescue operation had been more effective.

Someone said, “The tour company left her.” The rescue didn’t work.
