Chappell Roan has come out with pride.

The singer of “Pink Pony Club” is well-known for her lively pop songs and distinct sound.

Although she has been developing her profession for about ten years, she has become a pop sensation in the past year.As a teenager, she created a YouTube account, posted covers, and started to gain popularity.

After Roan’s Coachella performance went viral in April 2024, she became well-known and her fan base grew.

The singer of “Good Luck, Babe!” has explored her s**uality through her music and has been transparent about it.

Support has been shown by the singer’s fans, one of whom wrote: “Chappell Roan, you will always be famous, you are one of the main pop girlies right now being openly queer, constantly defending trans rights is so important to me.”

I am aware that she is being the person she wanted to be when she was a young child. Her influence is revolutionary. Another person remarks, “She is a lighthouse for all of us in the queer community.”

A third adds: I’m quite happy that I discovered Chappell Roan’s music because I’m a queer person.

Raised in the traditional Missouri city of Willard, Roan was taught that homos**uality was a sin and went to church three times a week.

She initially reticent, but after landing a record deal and relocating to Los Angeles, she became aware of the queer scene.

She created the emancipating disco hymn “Pink Pony Club,” her breakthrough song, after going to her first homos**ual club.

She refers to Roan, her alter ego, as a “larger-than-life, drag queen version” of herself.

The artist, whose real name is Kayleigh Amstuzt, told the BBC about her small-town background.

I simply didn’t feel like myself there, she added, not because I was too big for the place.  I was unable to talk or express myself the way I wanted to. It was always me who was too much.

The vocalist of “Red Wine Supernova” told the Rolling Stones that because of her Christian upbringing, she felt ashamed of her s**uality.

“I was taught that I was afraid of people who were flamboyantly gay,” she added.

I came to the realization that people despise flamboyantly gay individuals because they are perceived as feminine, and people despise women. You think, “Oh my God, this is so f***ed,” when you see small things like that.

Roan also disclosed that she is still “confused” about some aspects of queerness: “I don’t understand why this is such a problem for me.” I have to accept that something is happening even though it shouldn’t be.

At a concert in Ohio, she came out to her fans as a l**bian.

At last, the pop sensation told the Rolling Stones, “Oh, I know why.” It’s because I’m gay and I don’t have any real problems.

I simply wasn’t meant to have s** with guys, and now that I know that no one will ever be as good as ladies, I find it a little disgusting to even consider kissing a guy.
