To celebrate BTS’s 12th anniversary, all of the members of BTS have joined together at FESTA. Six of them did their military service in South Korea.
The K-pop supergroup is made up of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. Jin, who is 32 years old, was the first person to join up in December 2022. The others will join their 18- to 21-month commitment next year.
On June 13, the group astonished the BTS Army by using the same platform that J-Hope used to close his first solo tour, “HOPE ON THE STAGE.”
Jin and Jung Kook, who is 27, also sang as special guests on stage. They sang the BTS song “Jamais Vu” as a trio. RM, 30, Suga (who is allowed to perform in public but not work in promotion or until the end of his obligations this next weekend), 32 Jimin, 29, and V were at the rear of the room.
Jung Kook sang “Seven” and “I Wonder” with J-Hope, while Jin performed his own song “Don’t say That You Love Me” with J-Hope.
On June 13 and 14, BTS commemorated their reunion at FESTA, the annual celebration of the group’s founding. The occasion was held in the KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, South Korea. It had picture booths, DIY photo cards, activities, and coloring walls that looked like BTS album covers.
More than 60,000 people came to the highly anticipated event, which also had a “Voice Zone” where fans could listen to recordings of the band members. There was also a “Locker Zone” for the seven vocalists where they could put things that were important to them. In the DIY Zone, fans could even make their own satchels.
The event was a great way for BTS, the ARMY BTS, and the Army to remember how much they mean to each other.
The Associated Press says that South Korean legislation says that able-bodied men must serve in the military for 18 to 21 months. Six of those who finished the standard service. According to The New York Times, Jin joined the military in December 2022 and trained at a base near the North Korean border.
On April 20, 2023, J-hope joined the army. Suga arrived in September 2023, and the site said he was given a different job as a social service representative.The group’s final four members—RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—enlisted in the military in December 2023.
They said in June 2022 that they would take a break from their group activities to finish their military duties and work on their own projects. They’ve all put out their own CDs, and a lot of them have started doing concerts around the world.
On the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jin discussed plans to reconcile in May. It was wonderful to be alone. The man assured Fallon that he would value them and treat them with the deference they merited when they returned.
