A woman is getting help after coming out as abros**ual and telling her tale.

Coming to grips with who you are can be hard, especially when society doesn’t want to or can’t understand it. It took one woman thirty years of thinking about herself and learning about herself to figure out that she was abros**ual.

Emma Flint, a journalist for the Metro, wrote: “When I tell people I’m abros**ual, they often look confused.”

“Unfortunately, questions like ‘Is this even a real label?’ or ‘Why can’t you just pick one?’ are common.”

Flint’s journey started in the 1990s, when people knew a lot less about LGBTQ+ identities than they do now.

People used to think of s**ual orientations as strict groups, like straight, gay, or lesbian. People who didn’t fit within those categories were seen as either confused or rebellious.

Flint remarked, “I grew up feeling lost.” “I didn’t not know myself; my identity kept changing in ways I couldn’t put into words.”

Flint’s life changed in 2020 when she saw an Instagram post by Zoe Stoller, a social media educator who works to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ identities that aren’t as well known.

“It was like a light bulb went off,” the reporter said. “Finally, there was a word—abros**ual—that perfectly described what I had been going through all along.”

According to Emma Flint, she is attracted to a person, not their gender.

For Flint, abros**uality gave her the clarity and recognition she had been looking for for a long time. It explained why her interest sometimes matched being a lesbian, but then changed to bis**uality weeks later.

The S**uality Wiki says that abrosuality is “a s**ual orientation on the multis**ual spectrum in which one’s s**uality is changing or fluid.”

“It wasn’t being unsure or confused,” Flint stressed. “It was just how my identity naturally changes.”

Coming out as abro**ual or s**ually fluid, on the other hand, has not been easy.

When Flint told a close friend about her new identity, the buddy didn’t care.

Even if things have gone wrong, the journalist has found help in other parts of her life. Friends and family members who didn’t know much about abros**uality at first have tried to learn more about it.

One common myth is that being abros**ual makes romantic relationships harder.

Flint disagrees with this idea and says that her s**ual fluidity doesn’t make it harder for her to love and commit.

She said, “I’m attracted to the person, not their gender.” “My identity may vary, yet my affection for my partner remains unchanged.”

Sadly, not everyone is as open-minded about the subject.

Flint, on the other hand, believes that more people will learn about abros**uality and see it as just another part of human diversity.

“It isn’t about being different or trendy,” she remarked. “It’s about knowing that identities like mine are real, even if you don’t know them.”

Flint is no longer held back by what other people expect or misinterpret after 30 years of searching.

She said, “I’m excited to embrace this fluidity and see where it takes me.” “All that matters is that it makes sense to me, and that’s all that matters.”
