Following the sad news of Millena Brandão’s death, tributes have poured forth on social media. Fans are expressing their loss and sympathies; one person said, “This is very sad. I’m thinking of her family. The love all around them should provide them comfort. Another user agreed, writing, It’s terrible.” Eleven years old is far too young. Calm down.
“She was so young to bear such hardships,” a third fan said. She was a really lovely girl. Remain in peace. “I pray this young lady has found rest after such a tragic event,” said a fourth comment, expressing a sincere hope for serenity.

Celebrated Brazilian child actress and model Millena Brandão was known for her parts in the Netflix series “Sintonia” and the soap opera “The Childhood of Romeo and Juliet.” Her mother announced the sad news on Instagram and wrote, The memories we spent will always be in my heart. I will never forget your happiness since it was contagious.
She went on, clearly expressing her great loss: “My little girl, I already miss you so dearly, and I know that feeling will only get worse with time”. You were our lighthouse, and I hope you will keep shining down on us from above.
Brandão’s unexpected death startled a lot of people since it highlights the shortcomings of life at such a young age. The flood of love and support shows how much she touched the life of everyone around her.

Since April 24, the young celebrity has been suffering a range of worrisome symptoms including headaches, leg pain, weariness, loss of appetite, and fainting spells. Concerned about her health, her family brought her to two hospitals in São Paulo and an urgent care center; doctors first believed she had dengue fever.
The mother of Brandão, Thays, told Brazilian news source G1 that no tests were conducted initially. Rather, they were advised to bring her home and use dipyrone for an analgesic effect. During a modeling event, Brandão got severe leg discomfort on April 26 and had to leave. She was brought to Pedreira General Hospital, but the testing there was clean.

The family planned to go to mass at a nearby church on April 28 but had to cancel when Brandão’s headaches worsened, and she started to feel increasingly tired and without appetite. She passed out in the restroom once she was home. Her parents hurried her to the Maria Antonieta Urgent Care Station.
Thays recalled the event clearly: “She arrived unconscious in my husband’s arms. She opened her eyes then and came to. The health center tested and found a urinary tract infection while excluding COVID-19, H1N1, and dengue fever. Her prescription called for drugs for it.

Brandão was sent to Granjaú General Hospital on April 29 morning. She tragically had her first heart arrest and required intubation. Thays remembered, heartbroken, “Her lip became crimson. They intubated her and restarted her. She never woke up once more starting that day.
Thays notes that a neurologist was not on hand and that the hospital lacked the tools for Brandão’s treatment.“She said they only did a CT scan and said they found a 5-centimeter mass in her head. But they couldn’t operate, so they couldn’t tell if it was a clot, cyst, growth, or edema”.
This sad event emphasizes the need for early and comprehensive medical examination—especially for young patients having inexplicable symptoms.
According to Brandão’s mother, her daughter’s health declined dramatically, and she had two to three daily cardiac arrests. For someone who had never experienced such problems previously, 13 cardiac arrests overall represent a concerning statistic.

On one especially worrisome day, Brandão experienced seven respiratory arrests. Medical workers used defibrillator shocks and chest compressions to try to revive her.
The formal reason for Brandão’s death is yet unknown.
Her mother, Thays, father, and two-year-old sister all miss the young actress.
