Trump made fun of Taylor Swift while he was in Philadelphia to visit the Eagles.
Many Eagles players visited the White House on Monday following their February Super Bowl triumph over the Kansas City Chiefs. Trump hailed their success and called quarterback Jalen Hurts, the Super Bowl MVP, a “terrific player.”

Despite notable absences, including Hurts himself, Trump commended the team’s strategy, particularly their controversial “tush push” play. He also recognized star running back Saquon Barkley before inviting players like Lane Johnson to speak.
When Trump talked about Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, his tone of voice changed. Fans have responded differently to her visits at some of Kelce’s games; some feel that she is receiving too much attention instead of the sport.
When considering the Super Bowl match-up, Trump said, “a little surprising” but “an incredible game.” Attending the event personally on February 9, he observed that it was a historic occasion since it was the first time a sitting president was there at a Super Bowl.

Then he said in a sarcastic way, “I was there with Taylor Swift.” How did that work out?”
Reminiscent of his past comments, former President Donald Trump has once more attacked music sensation Taylor Swift. After Swift spoke out in support of Kamala Harris, Trump hated Swift and wrote on Truth Social in September 2024, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.”
He reaffirmed his position in a later appearance on Fox & Friends: “I was not a Taylor Swift fan.It was just a matter of time. But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat. And she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.” It is interesting that Trump’s continuous conflict with celebrities endorsing his political rival shapes this opinion.

One person said “Looks like Trump and Taylor Swift have more beef than a Philly cheesesteak! 🥩 Guess he couldn’t shake it off, huh? Meanwhile, the Eagles are just flying high and winning trophies — too bad they didn’t invite Swift for a halftime performance, it might’ve been terrific! 😅”

Meanwhile, before the Philadelphia Eagles’ White House visit scheduled for Monday, NBC News correspondent Yamiche Alcindor reported that quarterback Jalen Hurts would be absent from the event. Another tweet from Alcindor said, “A White House official has confirmed to me that @Eagles quarterback @JalenHurts will not be visiting the White House when the Super Bowl winners arrive later this afternoon.” The White House says that Hurts and other players who can’t make it went because they had “scheduling conflicts.”

The Eagles are celebrating their triumph in the 2025 Super Bowl, one of the most important occasions in league history; so, their announcement suits their celebration of it. Following two consecutive Super Bowl victories, the Eagles have now earned two trophies in five seasons, so establishing their ranking among the top teams in the league.
