In Brazil, a woman was arrested for poisoning Easter eggs and sending them to her ex-boyfriend’s new family, k!ll!ng a seven-year-old.
According to officials, Jordélia Pereira Barbosa, 35, was motivated by ‘revenge and jealousy’ when she bought, spiked and sent chocolate to her ex’s new girlfriend.
It was reported in the Brazilian media that the eggs had been delivered on Wednesday to her ex’s new boyfriend, Mirian Lira, who then shared them with her children.

According to reports, they were delivered to her home by a motorcycle courier, who was said to have accompanied the gift with a note that read: “With love, Mirian Lira”. Happy Easter.’
Luis Fernando Rocha Silva, Lira’s young son, fell ill almost instantly, and his mom rushed him to Imperatriz City Hospital, where he died just hours later.

In addition, his 32-year-old mother remains in the hospital in critical condition along with her 13-year-old daughter, Evelyn Fernanda. Both of them are believed to be intubated and are in serious condition.
It has been reported that the chocolate eggs were sent for forensic analysis to confirm that they may have been poisoned.
A 35-year-old woman, Jordélia Pereira Barbosa, is accused of spiking chocolate and sending it to the new girlfriend of her former partner.

According to reports, the chocolate eggs were delivered to Mirian Lira by a motorcycle courier accompanied by a note that read: “With love, Mirian Lira.”
In this case, Barbosa was arrested on a bus to Santa Inês, where she lives, after spending the night at a hotel in Imperatriz. In this city, her ex-boyfriend’s family is located approximately 200 miles from where she lives.

In the investigation, police found purchase receipts and spoke to Barbosa’s ex-partner, who said his ex might be involved.
In addition, the police shared CCTV footage that showed Barbosa shopping for chocolate eggs while wearing a black wig to cover her dyed blonde hair and dark sunglasses to hide her identity.
